Oklahoma green string beans
Servings: 3-4 servings
There is no crunch to these rich and buttery green beans. They’re soft, sweet and delicious. These beans are definitely not perfectly shaped like haricot vert. They’re long, stringy and crazily shaped. They’re a perfect side dish to any main course served in Oklahoma or in any other state.
Directions
Fill a pot ¼ of the way with water.
Bring the pot of water to boil and add a chef pinch (3 fingers) of salt to the water.
Add the green beans to the pot and then turn the heat down a little bit and cover it with a lid.
Cook the green beans for 16-18 minutes.
Discard the water into the sink and keep the green beans in the pot.
Add the butter, salt, olive oil and pepper to the green beans and gently stir them, they will literally fall apart as you stir them.
Serve immediately.
