Cobb salad
Servings: 2 servings
Cobb salads are my go to salad when I go to restaurants, and I wanted to have that same delicious meal at home. I decided to give you the same option, which is why I decided to create and publish this recipe for you.
Directions
Toss the iceberg and baby lettuces together.
Plate the lettuce on all 4 of the large plates at the same time.
Have all salad components ready to go, so when it comes time to plating it won’t be over whelming.
Take each one the ingredients and lay them in a line across the lettuce on each plate.
If this is too complicated or seems to time consuming you can always toss the ingredients in with the lettuce and then serve it.
This salad is delicious with blue cheese dressing or you can try serving it with red wine vinegar and really good olive oil.
Enjoy.
*Grilled chicken is very simple, all you have to do is season the chicken with salt and pepper. Then lightly coat it with a nonstick spray, so the chicken doesn’t stick to the grill. Next cook the chicken on both sides for 6 minutes, each side for a total of 12 minutes (time may increase depending on the size of the chicken breast).
Ingredients
2 chicken breasts grilled*, and cut into 1-2” dice
1 ripe Haas avocado, diced
1 cup of grape tomatoes, halved
2 eggs, hardboiled, peeled and chopped
½ cup blue cheese, crumbles
4 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
1 cups baby lettuces, roughly chopped
1 head of iceberg lettuce, cleaned and chopped
½ cup blue cheese dressing* or serve with red wine vinegar and good olive oil
