Candied Bacon

Growing up in Oklahoma there were always holiday parties and the best holiday parties always included candied bacon. For those of you who don’t know it’s a combination of delicious salty bacon and sweet brown sugar baked to crunchy perfection.

This easy holiday favorite has always been close to my heart, especially during the holiday season.

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Line a sheet tray with parchment paper.

Cut the entire bacon package in half (it’s easier if it’s cold).

Pour brown sugar onto a plate and coat each bacon with brown sugar on both sides.

Place the bacon onto the parchment paper and bake for 15 to 20 minutes on 350 degrees until golden brown.

Let cool and serve.

1/2 cup dark brown sugar
