Spinach and Cheese Dip in a Bread Bowl

Servings: 10 | Time: 45 minutes

Spinach and Cheese dip screams a dish that’s a party essential. It’s an easy go to recipe for all holiday parties, whether you’re a host or a guest. I wrote this recipe last year to fill a delicious pull apart bread recipe, but I loved it so much it’s become my favorite go to recipe for the holidays. The combination of cheeses, spinach and sourdough bread make it a perfect appetizer for any occasion.

Directions

Add cream cheese and mayonnaise to a bowl and use a spatula and soften the cheese.

Mix in the spinach and mix well.

Season with salt.

Mix in the parmesan, and half the mozzarella cheese.

Cut a 6-inch circle by angling your knife, remove the center of the bread. Pull excess bread out and reserve for later dipping keeping exterior crust intact.

Spoon the mixture into the bread bowl and cover with the remaining mozzarella cheese.

Bake for 30-45 minutes at 350 F° or until brown and bubbly.

Serve with crackers and bread insides.

Ingredients

1 cup cream cheese softened

½ cup Best Foods Mayo

½ cup frozen spinach, rinsed, dried, and thawed

½ cup fresh grated parmesan cheese

1 cup mozzarella cheese

2-teaspoon salt

1 sourdough boule
