Sausage, Sage & Rigatoni

Sausage, Sage, and Rigatoni Pasta: An easy fall recipe the whole family will love. This is a splurge! Its creamy texture mixed with flavorful sausage, earthy sage and nutrient dense kale is a crowd pleaser. Check out how to make it on my instagram page. @hailmaryfoodofgrace

Directions

In a large pot boil water and season with salt.

Follow directions and cook pasta to al dente about 1 minute less than instructed time.

When pasta is cooked, strain and discard the water.

Set the pasta aside in a bowl.

Remove the sausage from the casing and place into a bowl.

Heat a large pot and add oil to the pot.

When oil is hot, add in the sausage and cook until brown.

Temper (add warm ingredients to the cream) the cream, and then pour it into the pot.

Then add in sage, salt, and pepper and stir.

Add the pasta, and kale into the pot and mix well.

Pour in cheese and mix (more cheese can be added!).

Garnish with sage leaves and serve.

3 Italian sausages, removed from casing

4 cups cooked rigatoni pasta

1 tablespoon sage, chopped

½ cup shredded parmesan cheese

½-3/4 cup heavy whipping cream

½ cup kale leaves, chopped
