Classic quiche with a twist

Quiches are so great for entertaining a group or ideal for a relaxed Sunday morning when you want something delicious but you don’t want to put in the effort, shhh…. you can make it a day ahead. Join Mary, Bryan-David Scott of Cup of Luxury and Anna Boling O’Steen of Lovely Lady Cakes and we will show you how to make this delicious Quiche with a twist. Watch the video here.

Directions:

  • Start with the crust add the flour, salt, butter and milk then gently work the dough with your hands until it forms a ball, next roll the dough out to about a quarter of an inch. Place it into a greased baking dish.
  • Then par-bake the crust at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes and don’t forget to add weights to the bottom so the crust doesn’t bubble up in the middle.
  • Add the egg, cheese, milk, half and half and salt to a bowl. Using a mix break up all of the eggs. You can also add other ingredients to the quiche for added flavor like sautéed mushrooms, tomatoes, cooked zucchini, etc.
  • Next, add the cheese into the crust and place it into the oven. Bake this cheesy quiche for 45- 50 minutes at 350 degrees. When the quiche has cooled a little bit add the toppings, watch the video for more tips on how to make it look fantastic.
