Los Angeles, Ca, March 4th 2015 – This week’s recipes include pistachio and cherry granola, beef bolognese and classic waffles.
Start your day with delicious homemade granola. Granola is a mixture of toasted oats, a crunchy nut and various other ingredients including: dried fruits, wheat germ, flax and coconut. This recipe is lightly sweetened with honey and no white or brown sugar added to the mixture.
Weekend waffles are always delicious and I’m as guilty as the rest for using box mixes. Thankfully it was through encouragement from a friend that I finally decided to test and create a great recipe, so if you’re brave enough you can make them from scratch as well.
Bolognese is a classic Italian dish that is typically served with a flat noodle pasta and has a more reddish appearance due to a light tomato sauce that is included. However, I created this recipe without tomato sauce, but you could easily add it when you’re adding all of the other wet ingredients. Alone or with tomato sauce this is a delicious recipe for everyone.
Every week I work to create recipes for you my reader that combine the season, interest and my desire to create. It’s not easy deciding what recipes to focus on, because I want to cook everything.
Please let me know what you think of this week’s recipes.
