Raspberry rhubarb crumble

Confession, sometimes there are recipes I agree to make and yet I have never tried the ingredients. Rhubarb was one of those ingredients that I typically shied away from because I imagined it would taste something like celery. When I along with the Traditional Home team agreed that a Raspberry rhubarb crumble would be a perfect fit for that specific issue.

As I went to whole foods and bought my first rhubarb I wasn’t exactly sure what I was buying. Then when I pulled it out of the bag, washed it off and took a bite I seriously fell in love with the flavor and wondered what in the world I had been so afraid of (not really afraid but more disinterested). For those of you who were like me and don’t know rhubarb is a sweet and tart flavor almost like a lemon. Which is so strange considering it looks nothing like a lemon!

In the end my recipe for Raspberry rhubarb is an awesome addition to your summer desserts! Find it on Traditional home here.

We are sad to see you go but I know you are in good hands at Traditional Home. Please come back and visit soon and if you are interested stay here and try my blackberry shortcake recipe.
