Fried artichokes with garlic aioli

Los Angeles, Ca – Fried artichokes are fun and delicious for any occasion. Most home cooks do not have a fryer, so I will teach you to make this dish by heating a sauté pan with a little oil, browning the artichokes, and baking them in the oven.

Directions:

Artichokes: Drain the artichokes and cut into quarters. Dip into beaten eggs and toss in bread crumbs-cornmeal mixture. Heat a sauté pan with canola oil and fry just until exterior begins to turn golden brown (Do not overcrowd the fryesaute panr). Place artichokes into pan, and cook in a 350-degree oven for 10 minutes.

Garlic Basil Aioli: Mince the garlic. Use the microplane to zest the lemon. Add all ingredients into a blender and blend them until they’re smooth and well combined.

Toss with parsley, salt, pepper, and a squeeze of lemon on top.

Scoop the dip into a pretty bowl, pick a parsley leaf, and put it in the center of the aoili.

Tip – You can buy quartered artichokes. Also, toss a few breadcrumbs into the saute pan to see if it’s ready to fry.
