Pistachio and cherry granola

Servings:

Homemade pistachio and cherry granola is very easy to make and you can add your favorite ingredients when you make it from scratch. I love pistachios and cherries and I wanted to incorporate them into this recipe. If you aren’t interested in shucking your own pistachios you can buy them shucked or you can change it to a different kind of nut like: almond, cashew or walnut.

Directions

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.

Mix together honey, oats, pistachios, vanilla and salt.

Toss the mixture together.

Spray a cookie sheet with non stick spray and spread the granola mixture over the tray.

Bake the granola for 10 minutes and then flip the granola to prevent it from burning on one side.

Continue to bake the granola for another 7-8 minutes or until it’s golden brown.

When the granola is finished pour it into a metal bowl and then mix in the cherries.

Add 1 cup of yogurt to each bowl (4 bowls), top it with granola mixture and if you desire extra sweetness drizzle honey over the top.

Serve.
