Basic pizza dough
Sometimes we need basic recipes, like basic pizza dough. Here is a simple dough recipe with easy directions and links to some of our favorite pizzas.
In a medium size mixing bowl mix warm water and yeast.
Next add 1 cup of flour and salt then mix.
Add the rest of the flour to the mixture and slowly knead the dough.
Form the dough into a small ball and tightly cover the bowl with plastic wrap.
Put the bowl in a warm area and let it rest for about an hour
Remove the dough and knead for a few minutes.
Put it back in the bowl and let it rest for another 1/2 hour.
Cooking note: Sometimes the dough can stick like crazy to the sides of the bowl. So sometimes I use a little oil to grease the sides.
3 cups of flour (plus a little extra for rolling it out)
1 package dry-yeast
1-cup warm water
2 1/2 -teaspoon kosher salt
