Apple Crisp

Servings: 12 | Time: 90 minutes

Apple crisp is my favorite fall dessert because it captures everything cozy about the season—the warm sweet and sour baked apples, and golden, buttery topping. It’s simple to make yet feels special every time it comes out of the oven. Served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, it’s pure autumn comfort in a bowl.

Directions

Preheat an oven to 350 degrees.

Add the peeled apples to a large bowl.

Add sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla.

In another mixing bowl add the oatmeal, All-purpose flour, brown sugar, and granulated sugar; and set aside.

Spray a 9×11 pan with nonstick spray and fill it with the filling.

Pour the apples into a baking dish.

Top the apples with crisp topping.

Place in the oven and bake for 60 minutes or until top is golden brown on the edges.

Serve with vanilla ice cream.
