Halloween Spider muffins

Halloween is the perfect opportunity to put some spooky characters on some not so spooky favorite foods. My boys are loving all the decorations of Halloween and on Sunday when I made some banana chocolate chip muffins I decided to add some spooky spiders on top. Spooky spiders can be added to any muffin or cupcake.

Here is what you need:

How to:

  1. Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave by heating at 10 second intervals, mixing and repeat until the chocolate is melted (be careful not to over cook the chocolate)
  2. Fill 1 plastic bag with half the chocolate and the remaining chocolate in the other bag.
  3. Cut a very small hole in one of the corners of 1 plastic and a little bit bigger cut in the second bag.
  4. When the muffins have cooled use the bag with the slightly larger hole to make a circle the size of a quarter to 1/2 dollar.
  5. Then use the other plastic bag to pipe out 8 legs.
  6. Finish with eyes.
  7. Serve!

This is a great way to add some festive spookiness to almost any baked good.
