Letter from the editor

Los Angeles, Ca, March 6th, 2015 – What do people want to eat, is always the number one question I ask myself. I find it’s a great mystery in a sea of endless possibilities. You now ask, how do I attempt to answer this difficult question? Well, I ask my mom.

I talk about my mom a lot because she and I have a special bond over food. We can speak a language that not everyone can follow and whenever I need to discuss menu ideas or flavor palettes I always turn to her for advice.

I talk about my mom a lot, because she and I have a special bond over food. We can speak a language that not every one can follow and whenever I need to discuss menu ideas or flavor palettes I always turn to her for advice.

My mom is from the Midwest and has a very close group of friends and like many women they discuss what’s happening to whom, the weather and did you pick up the latest issue of x food magazine, they had the best blank blank blank recipe.

I being on the west coast find myself inundated with Californian cuisine, which is delicious, but not always acceptable in other parts of the country, which is why I always ask myself, would this make the topic of conversation at my mom’s’s mahjongg group. If the answer is no then I need to look again.=

For the next few months my goal is to create recipes that you want to cook, so please help me help you and send my ideas as to what you want to cook.

When you look at my site take a look at the classic waffles, the classic wedge salad (I love the blue cheese dressing), the pork osso bucco and the berry cobbler. You can bet I’ve talked all of my recipes over with my mom!

Please check my site weekly as I have an obsession with food (seriously) and I love writing new recipes. And if you like what you see share it on Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, and Facebook remember sharing is caring. Plus, I will be sharing some of my great recipes from Traditional Home in upcoming articles.

Yours truly,

Mary
